The Candidacy Of Bernie Sanders

There are many who believe the sun has already set on the American Dream. The long shadow of night where darkness prevails could be forth coming with every vote that will not be counted. It s the apathy of today that has kept the American Dream inaccessible for many. Much more is at stake in this coming election year than many people realize. Already, there is too much discord, dissension, and apathy that has continued for far too long that has kept the United States from experiencing the phenomenal economic growth and prosperity that we had following World War II.

When we really take a look at what our foreign policy has done and continues to do every decision where we have sent our armed forces into harms way has been a futile effort from the beginning. All we are doing with our foreign policies from the past 50 + years has been designed for one specific purpose and that is a perpetual money making machine for the top 1%. Lives matter not. Our national pride matters not. All that we have done is dug a deeper hole of indebtedness, thousands of lives have been sacrificed in vain, and we have created the greatest wealth disparity gap in history. Not to mention seal the fate for the American Dream that millions of Americans will never be able to have.

Today, there is hope though. Ignored by the media and the entrenched establishment is a dark horse barn storming across the American plains. With a message that has purpose, merit and weight. Unfazed by all the glitter and fame by more recognizable names he continues to stand firm amidst all the hype lavished on those others. He has a steadfast resolve to end the inequality, hopelessness and despair. A resolute demure that has already managed to awaken the silent majority. But, still the media hype is all abuzz over their own hand picked contenders. For the highest office in the land it is really pathetic that in this day and age the fix is in where there the media is engineering public opinion favoring their favorite son. On the Democratic side it is their favorite woman.

We have to remember that in 1933 the world witnessed a country elect one of histories most despicable despots of evil. Could 2016 be the year when another country elects one that could be so similar? What has happened in the course of the years in America today contrary to what our illustrious media keeps reporting is that for years now our population has been experiencing a decline in educational standards from elementary through secondary public school systems. Our substandard schools in conjunction with a propaganda based media has engineered a population that is ripe for an individual to use our current deplorable economic conditions and dupe the public into thinking that they are the savior of the American dream and take control of this country. It could very well happen.

It is the holiday season and all through-out the land people are scurrying to find a helping hand. Joyous retribution has yet to fill the air for all those who were instrumental for our current economic mess. It is the Scrooge like mentality by the powers that be that continue to spread decay and misery. All across this nation at this time of year the faces of too many people are shallow and bare. Yet, for the few, that top 1%, there life is blessed by all of our sweat and tears from all the tax breaks that they get. But, as the multitudes grow poorer each day on this Christmas all they will get are empty promises that are too little and far too late.

The media can be thankful at this time of year the Republican band wagon has kept rolling along. A juggernaut of Trumpness continues to cover the news. They also have embraced the Clinton cause. But, for the millions that are so impoverished of late there remains a candidate that is above reproach but all too often his message is cloaked. Ignored by many of the powers that be there is his message of reason, hope and decency. Deemed irreverent and not what is needed has only solidified how corrupt the system is. Still, the hype is so targeted it is so plain to see. Maybe one day soon the truth will be told and the light his reason will shine bright again. Giving a rebirth to that American dream. For millions of Americans at this time of year we give thanks for an unexpected gift. The unwrapping of our present on this next election day can only happen if we shake off our apathy and mistrust. To stop the insanity of this election year we have focus on his message where reason prevails.

Paying The Piper

As we remember this past December 7th, a day that will live in infamy Pearl Harbor reminds us of the sacrifices by the greatest generation should not have been made in vain. A world war ensued where the terror of the Nazi's set the world ablaze. Now, a new terror has emerged where the seeds of destruction and mayhem were planted well over 30 years ago. They were sowed by our foreign policies and military interventions from the Bush and Obama Administrations. We are now paying the piper by our blatant intervention in the affairs of many Muslim nations that has destabilized the entire Middle East.

The disastrous results of our entanglements is evident with the rise of so many terrorist cells we see today. Some now believe that many insurgents are living right here in the United States. The most recent attack in San Bernardino is evident of what many would call sleeper cell terrorist activity. We have to go back to the early 1960's to find out what triggered the rise of radical Islamic factions that have now infiltrated and managed to carry out so much terror not only here in the US but all across the globe.

It was in 1963 when the Shah of Iran who had been a close allies of the United States and Great Britain instituted a broad governmental program aimed at land reform, infrastructure development, voting rights for women and reducing the illiteracy rate. This is much like Muammar Gaddafi did in Libya where progressive reforms enabled there society to experience what many would call unparallel economic growth. At first all these programs were well received but when many didn't actually benefit and saw where the more affluent reaped the benefits of these governmental programs it was the first sign of inner turmoil in Iran.

With the growing criticism from many Islamic leaders who saw the Shah conforming to a more Western culture Ruhollah Khomeini, a patriarch of the Shiite clerics instigated a coupe to over through the Shah. Even though for a time the Shah managed to hold onto power where the US and Great Britain were influential but, by 1978 the seeds of revolt bore fruit. When the Shah replaced the traditional Islamic calendar with a Persian one set the stage for open revolt. Fearful of loosing his grip in Iran the Shah resorted to Gestapo like tactics in the hope that his power would prevail. By late 1978 open revolt spread through the streets of Tehran, the Shah fearing for his life fled. It was then that Khomeini took control of Iran. When the United States refused to return the Shah in exchange for the Americans being held in the US embassy was probably the one singular event that still has far reaching consequences. Khomeini in the years that followed instituted radical changes in the Quran.  In rewording the Quran Khomeini created a doctrine of extreme intolerant views toward Western cultures. Today, it is the basis for the rise of radical Islamic extremists within the Muslim world.

In 1980 Ayatollah Khomeini led that successful Islamic revolution in Iran and Suddam Hussein took control in Iraq. For the next 9 years the Mid-East was a hot bed of tensions between Iran and Iraq. Warring factions of Shiite's and Sunni's, the two most antagonistic factions of Muslims continued their brutal savage grab for power, control and wealth of the regions oil. At the end of the decade Iraq was grasping for any means of wealth to boost their war torn country. In doing so Suddam invaded Kuwait in an effort to seize their oil. The United States fearing a disruption of Mid-Eastern oil organized and engineered the recapture of Kuwait to regain control of the regions oil.

All the first Gulf War did was set the stage for the second Bush Administration to capitalize on the notion that Iraq had an arsenal of weapons of mass destruction. Whether or not Suddam Hussein had those weapons really isn't the issue. What the United States did was use fear mongering like Trump is doing today to induce reprisals based on the presumption and premonition that weapons of mass destruction are readily available and pose an immediate threat to Americans. Hence, we invaded Iraq, destabilized a whole country, and toppled a regime leaving behind a cancer of secular Islamic groups that became indoctrinated in the Khomeini's radical interpretation of the Quran. All of this gave rise to Al-Qaeda groups seizing the momentum of hatred toward the West and the US. In 1993 the first wave of Islamic terror struck. The bombing of the World Trade Center shook the nation leaving behind structural damage to the Twin Towers so that by 9/11 when the second wave of terror hit the devastation was complete. Not since that day of infamy more than a half century earlier has the United States experience such terror.

We have to always remember that when rulers of countries become so entrenched the power they wield soon becomes corrupt. When absolute power is held that power is absolutely corrupted. Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya and many other nations whose rulers are so entrenched it is the majority of their own citizens who suffer and want the most. The same thing can be said of the United States where we have embedded politicians who continue to beholden to the power brokers who bankroll campaigns.

In the aftermath of the spring of 2011 which is now called the Arab Spring, when civil war broke out in Syria, the United States again instigated a coupe to topple another long standing ruler in Libya which only further encroached on the delicate imbalance in the Middle East. What we have now in the Mid-East is a quandary of contingencies that at any moment could spark a global fire ball. The United States has only itself to blame because of our intrusion in the affairs of other nations.

The greed and gluttony of our reluctance to eliminate our dependency on oil has been the focal point of our foreign policies and military actions that have continued to now backfire right in our face. The revenue that Mid-Eastern Oil brings into the coffers of the major conglomerates is the dominating factor over the many foreign policies that continue to not only keep the flow of oil flowing but instigates reprisals in the form of rouge terrorist attacks right here in the US. What we did following the first evidence of open revolt in Egypt with the overthrow of Libya's Gaddafi is instrumental to understand why many in the Mid-East still have misgivings about the intentions and even harbor an open resentment of the United States.  We are paying the piper for it today.

The Year Of The Gun

Tis' the time of year again, although it seems like it was just last year that we went through the holiday's only this time around I have a feeling a more somber atmosphere is in the air. It just very well be that the year of 2015 too many will remember it as the year of the gun. With so many devastating tragic senseless deaths all attributed to people obtaining weapons that no law bidding citizen should ever have let alone use has left an indelible mark on American society. In too many instances individuals either of terrorist in nature, deranged individuals or just young children senseless tragedy has struck just because they managed to get a hold of a weapon.

Whether it is some child who manages to find a gun, a lone individual who has a vendetta against another person or some organization, or affiliates of a terrorist organization all have managed to procure deadly force weaponry. The recent terrorist attacks in Paris, and in California with too many senseless tragedies all across the country this past year the perpetrators of calamity continue their assault on the sanctity of life. Questions have to be asked with authentic solutions put in place before an already tragic scenario that is already out of hand happens again.

One of the most obvious questions has to do with who bankrolls these individuals who manage to obtain assault weapons and semi-automatic guns which by the way Great Britain has already outlawed. When we take a close look at an individual case especially with this past attack on the Planned Parenthood facility how did this one person manage to pay for his travel expenses, purchase the weapons and munitions along with housing where he committed this horrendous act of terror? In the case of the terrorist attack in California how did this couple managed to purchase automatic weapons and all the other elements of terror that was used without raising a red flag? These are just some of the more discerning questions that need immediate answers to with real solutions put in place.

Today, the NRA has been more or less incapable of dealing with the enormity of the number of senseless gun related deaths in America. Then again the Second Amendment has continued to be the benchmark for individuals to procure weaponry that by design has only one purpose. You can bet your bottom dollar it is not for hunting wild game either. It is now time to really think about the ramifications of what this right to bear arms has been doing to the American landscape.

We have to remember that ever since the Automobile there has been too many deaths caused by the carelessness, the lack of proper safety procedures, and the fact that newer and faster models were being available. This made it necessary for the United States pass a law stating that operation of an automobile becomes a privilege, not a right. In doing so made it became necessary for individuals learn how to properly operate motorize vehicles. Everyone now must pass written and physical operational tests for those motor vehicles before a license is issued. There lies the personal responsibility. When a right is no longer justified is contingent upon, like in the privilege of the operation motor vehicles, should not be guaranteed but rather a privilege. The lives saved and societies rescued from all the devastation caused by mans misuse of the second amendment will now be greatly reduced.

Our society today has evolved to the point that it has become necessary to save ourselves from the self destruction and start using the technologies developed in securing the safe use and handling of firearms. Amend the constitution with the second amendment becoming a privilege and not an inherent right. This may be the first step in the long road toward societies stability and security.

Advances in Technology has afforded us as a society the capabilities to combat horrendous acts by those perpetrators of calamity. Whether we choose to implement available technology is one of the most concerning questions now before the American public. How many more senseless atrocities must we endure? How many more innocent lives will be lost before controls are put in place to safeguard the American public? There are those who swear that the right to bear arms is that sacred right but, as we have already implemented more gun control laws still the carnage continues. Are we headed back to Tombstone where everybody caries a gun? Where Wyatt Earp is no where around. The answers lie in the morals of today and answering how technology can safeguard the American public.

The availability of weapons where they can be easily obtained is still a major concern for every American. It is time for decisive action before another terrorist attack or Sandy Hook tragedy occurs again. First, we have to realize and accept the reality of today and that is automatic weapons have no place other than with our armed forces. We have to pass legislation similar to what Great Britain has already done by banning the sale and possession of automatic and semi automatic weaponry. Next, we have to accept the technology that was incidentally available over 25 years ago but the willingness to implement them in gun control laws was overlooked, not considered viable, or just another infringement on the Second Amendment. One of the more technological advances in the past 25 years is in micro chips. The technology that was developed 25 years ago can greatly reduce all gun related violence. This involves all semi automatic and automatic weapons including rifles and hand guns. All these types of weapons will have micro-chips installed with a corresponding micro-chip that must be worn by the person who purchases that weapon. This, so that only that person whose matching micro-chip will be able to use that weapon. DNA testing should be mandatory. And like in drivers license but in this instance gun licensees have to be renewed every two years.

Once we realize that the Second Amendment is a privilege and not a right with the safeguards in place so that automatic and semi automatic weapons are not available to the general public and the use of micro chip technology is implemented in regular gun sales the probability of another terrorist attack, Charleston or Sandy Hook tragedy would be greatly reduced.

The Real Deal Of Bernie Sanders

As so often in the past there comes a moment that defines a character of a man whether they are a political candidate or not. It just so happens that this defining moment came about when Senator Bernie Sanders announced his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States. A defining moment that has all the earmarks of another Presidential candidacy that occurred more than 83 years ago. It was after the stock market crash of 1929 which set off the most disruptive economic calamity of the 20th century that FDR announced his candidacy for President. The implications of that announcement had far reaching historical affects that are still being felt today.

The New Deal of FDR symbolized a new beginning for economic recovery during the Great Depression. Today, the United States is still feeling the effects from the second greatest economic collapse in history. The crash of 2008 was in effect just another duplication of the events of 1929. Yet, it was just another instance where history has repeated. Like FDR it is Senator Sanders that has awakened the American public to the dangers of an economic system that is very reminiscent of the instances that created the catalyst which sparked the Great Depression of the 1930's and the stock market crash of 2008. In doing so he has reminded us that without change in our economic policies today another repeat of history will in fact occur with greater more devastating results.

When Senator Sanders spoke recently at Georgetown University he set the stage for a political revolution. He understands that personal freedom in our country today cannot be achieved without economic security for all. He also understands that a democracy cannot flourish with an apathetic populace. A participating and educated populace is essential for a democratic society to survive. It is his common sense realism that embodies his entire message. A message that he has been trying to convey ever since he embarked on his Presidential run.

Like FDR Senator Sanders who many now are beginning to see a similarity not only because of the economic conditions of today are very striking to the era of the 1930's but of a global terror network as evil as the Nazi's were during that same period more than 80 years ago. In this speech at Georgetown had all the earmarks of the New Deal of FDR. But, Senator Sanders approach is the Real Deal for today. An economic policy that utilizes a national economic reform policy unmatched by any political candidate today. Not only a national economic policy encompassing many of the urgent programs outlined in National Economic Reform's Ten Articles of Confederation but foreign policy directives aimed at restoring the balance of power through-out the world.

It is his common sense approach to urgent matters facing the United States today that is so refreshing considering the rhetoric every other candidate keep spouting. The Real Deal of Bernie Sanders is acumen to FDR's New Deal of the 1930's in so many ways. The similarities are unmistakably equivalent in scope and necessity. The dangers we face today of not realizing the Real Deal of Senator Sanders would have the same disastrous effect had FDR's New Deal not been implemented. Some may argue that the New Deal was not really that effective. But, what FDR did during the dark days of the Great Depression was instill the motivation for the American public utilizing the programs outlined in the New Deal that propelled the United States to become the greatest economic engine of the world during and after the Second World War.

What is really striking is the fact that the main stream media has been engineering a methodic methodology favoring Hilary Clinton and the presumption that she alone will be the Democratic nominee and the next President. It is amazing that all these opinion polls more often than not are bias to begin with and they only ask certain individuals knowing in advance who they really support.

With continued growing national support where the multitudes keep swelling outpacing every other Presidential Candidate both Republican and Democratic is a testament to his realistic, simplistic and sound approach in telling the American public the hard cold truth and consequences of not facing the realities of today head on. It is these growing enthusiastic crowds that gather where ever Senator Sanders goes just shows that the main stream media continues to orchestrate a bias when it comes to their overwhelming support and endorsement of Clinton. It seems that the numbers  Bernie Sanders draws doesn't matter. It is uncanny how the main stream media continues to overlook the huge ground swell of support for the Real Deal of Bernie Sanders and tries very hard to turn the nations attention toward polls that are really subject in favoring Clinton.

Senator Sanders even though his speech at Georgetown was about his definition of Socialism he defined many of the important issues facing the United States and the world today evoking FDR, Lyndon Johnson and Dr. Martin Luther King. The Real Deal of Senator Sanders is right on the money of what it would take to put effective policies in place to solve many of the problems we face today. Now, if the media would just understand the American public and not be bias toward one particular candidate the Real Deal of Senator Sanders will become the framework of a Sanders Administration. In doing so would rebuild this nation and secure the United States place as a beacon of hope and prosperity for the world.
